Course coordinator

From january 2005 until july 2006, I worked as course coordinator for KIA-gruppen, Lund university.

IT Manager and Network Administrator

Between 1996 and 2004, I worked as IT Manager at the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE). An organization within Lund university with about 40 researchers, 35 masters students, and 20 administrators. The IT department consisted of two persons. We took care of all strategic planning as well as implementaton of our systems. All within our own financial budget. We used Novell Netware 6 and Lotus Domino/Notes R6.5 on our servers.

Teacher

Between 1992 and 1996 I taught evening courses in the Indonesian language Bahasa Indonesia at Folkuniversitetet in Lund (southern Sweden). In 1995 I extended the course and wrote a book for an advanced course.

Interpreter

From 1991 to 1996 I worked as an interpreter between Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu and Swedish. I worked for the municipalities of Lund, Eslöv and Malmö.

University

B/A in East and South East Asian Studies

From 1988 to 1992, I spent 3 years of academic studies at the University of Lund. Two thirds of that time I studied the Indonesian language, Bahasa Indonesia. The remaining one third I took East and South East Asian Studies.

Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta

The academic year 1990/91 I studied at U.G.M - Fakultas Sastra, in Yogyakarta, Java, Indonesia. I achieved fluency in the Indonesian language (Bahasa Indonesia) and a very thorough understanding of the Indonesian society.

Business Economics

In the spring of 1993 I took a course in business economics at the University of Lund.

Previous experiences

Bus driver

From 1991 to 1996, I worked as a bus driver and drove the local buses in Lund, southern Sweden.

Chauffeur

From the year 1987 to 1990 I worked as a chauffeur, driving handicapped people at Sirius Färdtjänst AB.

Restaurant

In 1986 and 1987 I was a co-manager, chef, waiter, and everything else at a restaurant and youth hostel called Mälaren in Stockholm.

Free-lance journalist

During one of my travels I worked as journalists for the newspaper Expressen. The result was a series of about 10 articles covering the trip, with a special focus on the general cost of traveling. It all took place in the year of 1985 and 1986 and lasted for about 9 months.

Manager of Parkleken Långbro Gård

In the summer of 1985 I worked for 5 months as manager of this childrens playground. I had my own budget and two guys to help me out.

Danish Tourist board

I worked at the Danish Tourist board in Stockholm for about 18 months, between 1983 and 1984. I was a genitor and mainly involved with distribution and information.

Stockholm City Theatre

I worked as a technician and stage-worker at Stockholms Stadsteater from january until may in 1981.

From 1978 to 1983 I studied marketing, distribution and business economics at a pre-university level.

Miscellaneous

Gympaledare/Work-out instructor

During the spring of 2005 I took a course (120 hours) for gympaledare (work-out instructor) at Gerdahallen in Lund.

HSB Bostadsrättsföreningen Byggnadslagen

I was the vice chairman, webmaster, and an active member of the board for seven years - between May 2001 and May 2008.

Student organization

I was one of the founders, a member of the board and the accountant in the Swedish-Indonesian student organization - Bagus. It all took place during my university years 1988-1992.

Waiter

During 1987 and 1988 I occasionally worked as a waiter at the pub Black & Brown Inn on Hornsgatan 50B in Stockholm.

Grape-picker

In the early spring of 1986 I picked sultanas at Fred and Liz Williams farm in Red Cliffs, Mildura, Victoria, Australia.
